Hey guys I just recently got my Nismo Cold Air Intake installed on my 2005 G35x and it doesnt roar like i thought it would..it is a very silent CAI i dont know why??

Can someone please tell me what can possibly be wrong.

 

Does it not roar when you punch it or when you rev your engine? It wont if you just rev it at a stand still, but when your flooring it, it should.

 

get a fujita! i love everytime i floor it pass redline

 

Even when im driving and i punch it..it doesnt seem to roar like most CAI's do..i dont know whats wrong

 

impossible, leave car idle then punch the gas you can hear it, when your driving punch it in high rpm

maybe you got a defective CIA, it is possible, send it back and ask for another, if that one does the same thing then it is either that particular brand or your engine, hope it's not the engine and best of luck

 

get the jwt popcharger, that thing will roar and whistle till your pants drop

 

My Nismo CAI was quiet... it whistled a bit but that was about it.

i agree with phatice, i have the jwt pop charger with stillen z tube, and man does it roar a WOT from 4000 rpm, it whistles like hell too at low rpm's, ricers thinks its either a turbo spooling or a supercharger screaming! LOL

 

is the jwt and z tube combo really that good. haha

 

performance wise, intakes don't really make that much, probably couple hp, it's all about sound wise, so i say that combo is really good, or instead of stillen z-tube, get the oem z-tube

 

whats better? stillen z tube and pop charger?
