I thought the spacer was kind of a bi*ch to install. I was calling G guys left and right from this forum haha

Then i figured it out and it wasnt to hard. The biggest PITA though were those hoses on the back for the coolant and stuff. Took me the longest time, and some nasty words to get those bad boys on.

i just hear so many peeps talking about how the rpms drop and jump around, engine lights coming on, etc. makes me wary.
That's what I have read. What is the cause of this? Incorrectly installing the spacer?

DOnt' forget to check the tq of those bolts, I check/retighten mine every 6 months. They tend to losen up over time.

Its not about installing the spacer, its about taking the stock hoses off the stock plenum.

The rubber hoses tend to get baked on to the nipples over time.

I twist them back and forth several times while pulling to get them off.

I havn't really had a problem with it. ...but then again, I've installed too many to count.

You don't need to remove the hoses.

I've installed 3 and all I do is take a bungy cord and lean the top plenum over to the right without removing the hoses....using the bungy cord to hold it in place. Hope that makes sense.

Also, I've used thread lock on EVERY bolt and haven't had to retighten once.

^+1. I didn't bother to remove the hoses in the back either. When I did the install, I laid the top plenum off to the side next to some rags for support. Saved me some time from the install.

I had mine on for about four days now and it is a mod well worth the money. The DIY video really helped.

I'm getting mine installed in a few hours. I ordered the non iso thermal, and strangely enough there was an isothermal valve and a packet labeled "iso thermal" in the packaging. Is this normal? For $205 shipped its a pretty sweet deal.

Where did you buy yours? And does anyone have any suggestions where to get the best price? Also, I live in Oklahoma where it can get cold, but only snows a handful of times a year.. would the basic spacer suffice?

You will love it when you get it installed. You can feel the extra power becaise the air is getting to all cylinders. Do you have a Ztube and K&N drop in filter too??

sooo you can get the MREV and 5/16 spacers for a non-revup VQ??? i always thought the MREV was only for rev-up motors...does the DIY video apply to the 05+ coupes aswell???

MREV is meant for the revup VQs only. DIY vid applys to 03-06 sedan and coupe.

I've actually seen it stated many times that MREV can indeed work with non revup VQ's.
