Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
Hey Ya'll
Let end this argument once and for all.
Lets post dyno sheets and comparisons of all Exhuast Mods, and create a document that we can always refer to and update.
Lets compare the types of exhausts when it comes to:
Price
Performance
Options: Single/Dual Outlet
Any headers or downpipes/Y-pipes available by same brand?

Re: Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
Ya i think that is a good idea, I just got my G35c this week and the 1st thing i wanna do is put a better exhuast, ive been looking around and so far i like the Injen SES, RS-R GT2, Stilen, and the Blitz Nur. Sound is important but not as much as gain in HP.
Re: Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
Better define "best" up front. Right Dave?
.
As Dave O has summarized in previous evaluations of an already performed shootout of a few of them, there are differences along the power band. Some have higher peak, with losses on the low end. Some have no low end loss, but less peak. Then there's weight. What's it all worth is an entirely different matter.

Re: Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
Would be a very good idea if every one that added exhaust and dynoed...was stock to start..dynoed...then added exhaust and dynoed agian . That would be the only way to compare and get sound results
Couldnt afford it when young...gonna play when Im old

Re: Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
before you commit to any exhaust, you better give the GReddy EVO II a look - it has made great numbers on 350Z w/ and w/o FI and looks/sounds the best of any exhaust out there IMO (full polished SS, dual canisters, can run test pipes w/o raspiness) no tradeoffs like the other "true-duals" - Injen (borderline ricey sound), Borla (multiple pieces, near-stock sound), Stillen (heavy, expensive), etc.
I'm going to try to attach a pic...
2003.5 Brillant Silver G35 coupe 5AT
JDM Clear Corners, Alum. Pedals, Pro-1 Short Ram Intake, Helix SS Test Pipes, UR Crank Pulley, Custom Grounding Kit, CF Engine Cover, Kinetix Plenum (On Order)

Re: Best Exhaust (Finalyzed)
I just got my G, too. Very happy
My first real car. Only running 600 miles.
I love the shock exhaust sound, it sounds like my friend's Ferrari after 3500 rpm............. Maybe not that not that loud. I want the sound of the shock exhaust but much louder. (nothing is too loud for me) What exhaust will give me that? I like the Greddy, but where can I find some sound clips?
