Blown Stillen HFC

Any body ever heard of a stillen hfc blowing out. Not only did it blow out it pushed all the way through my stillen generation 2 exhaust , and lodged itself in the muffler. 2 hours with a crow bar & a rubber malet and a full body workout. To remove. Stillen says they have never had it happen before. Im NA and 275 to tha wheel its not like i'm puttin down crazy power. what tha deal?

How are you putting down 275 NA? Gotta be much more than what's in your sig. I have the gen 2 as well with a pair of Labree resonated test pipes laying around, but I'm not sure I want to louder than currently just yet. I thought the stille hfc's were much better than that.

If I remember correctly, Stillen's HFCs get very bad reviews due to poor build quality, so I'm not too surprised this happened.

I'm sure he dynoed at Church's which puts seriously high numbers. Gs and Zs typically dyno well into the 270-290s out there. On a Dynojet, the numbers are 30 to 40whp lower.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about 275whp being the issue here because you definitely aren't putting out those figures with so few mods.

OK so on the topic of the thread and no your whp I have also heard that the Stillen HFC's have had issues. Did you get them from Stillen? If so I would contact them for a warranty claim. No shop is going to pay the labor but maybe you will get a new cat out of it.

Stock you should be at around 235 whp. With your mods, maybe you're at 245 lol. Best NA mod to get is a tune!

Church Auto has two different dynos.
The bigger dyno commonly comes in at about 270 HP stock.

The smaller dyno comes in at about 280ish stock.

They are both dynopacks but the smaller dyno is a lot older, its a different model and has a different calibration.

isnt 07 z's HR? If so there is no way you could beat one unless the other guy is a poor driver or you are boosted.

Who cares what he is dynoing. Are they true stillen HFC's or are they the random technology HFC's sold by stillen? I haven't heard anything about stillens in house built HFC's.
