Need Advice, Centre Muffler Delete

hi all,

just need some advice / opinion.. i was looking around below the car and saw a centre muffler... i was thinking to myself, what would it sound like if i removed this part..

so i just wanna know if anyone has done this before and how much noise would it make?

im running a full stock exhaust, loving how it sounds... but a tad too quite so i thought of removing this part... maintaining the rest of the system.

please do share the experience if any

thanks

It won't sound good. It will be very raspy and you'll loose a lot of the smooth sound.

+1 Dont remove the resonator. It will sound really bad.

if you want it louder without making a complete change to the system, try adding resonated test pipes or aftermarket cats.

I've already done this. All I got was rasp. Bad idea. If anything, replace it with a smaller resonator.

Or go with some high flow cats. That did the trick for me.

+1 i added resonated test pipes and its the SAME tone exactly with about 70% MORE sound, so like 170% of the original. Its perfect.

Its a catalytic converter deletion pipe with a micro muffler attached to it.

If all you want is sound then you can space the rear flange with the extra nut(one stud is double nutted on the last one). My friend with a 350z told me it would sound great and I didnt believe him since all you are really doing is making a big exhaust leak. But I tried it and it really does sound pretty good and its free.
