advice please!

hey all, im planning on painting my upper plenum, probably obsidian black

just wondering, what i would need to use to smooth out the upper plenum

also has anyone painted it obsidian black before?

or maybe even just regular black, but what kind of paint is resistant to high temps of heat?

thanks

There are plenty of places that sell polished upper plenums.

Save yourself a major headache and wad of cash and buy a pre-polished plenum. Once you have that, then you can paint it any way you like.

Take it to a professional autopaint shop and for a modest amount of money you can have a killer plenum paint job.

well i do have a family friend that owns a body shop

maybe i could smoothen the upper plenum, and he could powder coat it black? then add some type of high temperature resistant gloss?

The engine compartment and plenum gets hot but it probably shouldn't be a problem for auto paint. You should be able to paint it with any color or type of auto paint you want.
