Don't know if anyone has tried this but, thought I'd ask. Has anyone replaced their OEM muffler in their coupe with a magnaflow muffler? I love the sound of our stock exhaust but woule love it more if it was just a bit louder. Not sure how much of a difference that would make but thought, it can't be that costly.

 

Do a search. There's a few people who have done it already and have sound clips for you to check out as well

Dude, def go with Magnaflow...i felt the same way....just a bit louder, but not with an annoying drone like those teenagers and their ricers...It's quieter when you want it to be, going slow, idle....but when you get on it, esp in high RPMS, it sounds sick as hell....I've had alot of people stop me and ask about my exhaust, and the thing i like best about it is that it looks completely stock. There is abs NO drone and it takes about 15 minutes to do the install...peice of cake...and it's cheap...I got mine awhile back for 800....You might want to buy a new gasket though b/c this setup calls for you to use your stock one, but just to be safe (corrosion;leakage) you should just buy another one...PM me if you have any more ?'s...

 

X matic, do you have any sound/video clips of the Mag exaust on your ride? Also, have you changed out your y pipe or cats?

Forgotten that I started this thread last month. Installed a Bassani true-dual that I bought from another member on here. In case anyone is wondering, that thing is a monster. Based only on butt dyno, feels like it gained gobs of torque. Couldn't be happier. Just ordered a set of F.I. cats several days ago, gonna have those installed, then a sub and I'll be done with mods for a while.

 

Sorry no clips...Unfortunately Im in the Navy and spend all my time on deployments lol, but I went to the website and they have the sound clips...it doesn't really do it justice though...You're not going to get the HP gains that other systems get, or claim to get, but I just don't like that constant droan...but as far as the look, it looks completely stock until you get right up on it and read the "magnaflow" on the tail pipes.....and no I haven't changed y pipes or cats... Hope that helps a little....??
