So i am going to order my exhaust next week. i love the sound of both of them but which gives more HP hks or fast intentions? Plus the HKS looks so badass from behind.

Please use our search function as this is one of the most commonly asked questions out there.

Looks and sounds are subjective. So you better make the decision based on your preference. And performance wise, the differences are negligible on a naturally aspirated (bolt-on) VQ.

HKS and FI have really different tones. I personally dont like the sound of hks but everyone else has their own taste. I'm getting FI exhaust soon. If you just want HKS because of its looks, you can get FI exhaust with titanium finished tips, it'll cost more but then you get what you want. I know that fast intentions is 11whp and hks from what i've heard is between 10-15 so probably around 13, now you not going to feel any difference between the two as far as power. Listen to the two on youtube but make sure that the cars in the video dont have test pipes becaue they can dramatically change the sound of a car.

Can't go wrong with either.

According to Rick, who used to work with FI, HKS is a close second to FI as far as gains.

It's an arbitrary decision, both exhausts perform pretty much the same. It all comes down to what sound you like and if you want to look discrete or not. I have the HKS and I love it, wouldn't trade it for an FI if my life depended on it. But if you talked to an FI owner, they'd probably say the same thing about their exhaust.

I'd look into both and make your own decision, it's the only way to be sure you're happy with what you get, especially since you're looking at ~$1500 exhausts, they aren't cheap, it's a big decision.

Wow, I didn't know they raised their prices THAT much. I should have sold mine for more!

But I'm sure I can find it cheaper.

My bad, I was basing it off the non-G35driver quote. Still, my point is that these exhausts are expensive, and the OP ought to check them both out for himself instead of asking what OTHER people like.
