I have a 2006 G35 Coupe with RAS. I have been trying to figure out what exhaust to put on and I finally decided on the HKS - Hi Power Cat Back Stainless Steel.

Problem; on the HKS site it says this exhaust will not fit the G35 with RAS... I did some searching and found others saying it could. I called HKS and spoke with a rep who said it's a minor modification that is not difficult. That was about as detailed as they could be unfortunately.

The place I am having it installed said they would simply have to try it... They called HKS also.

I am wondering if anyone here has managed to install this system on a car with Rear Assisted stearing?

Any input is appreciated...

If I can't then I will go with the Borla system... But I really would like the HKS.

 

I have RAS and I have the Motordyne exhaust. The fitment was perfect. It helps that their test car had RAS. Not sure about the HKS. I was in the same boat as you a couple months ago.

 

Well, I will be heading to Phoenix on Friday AM from Tucson and hopefully the HKS will fit one way or another. I mean, I already bought the HKS license plate holder.

If they can get it in I will be taking some detailed pics if possible so others will have some info in the future.

Worst that can happen is I end up with a nice Borla system...
