LOL. I didn't actually think you'd take a pic of the scale, but thanks for trying!!

This massive weight difference in resonators may explain the distinctive difference in exhaust notes between the Gs and Zs.

yeah probably

i know the Z though has a much larger axle back though
the G's axle back is like the size of a toaster

wonder how it would sound with a Z resonator welded where the old G one was at

It would sound just like the coupe midpipe you buy used for about $60. The coupe midpipe uses the same resonator as the Z. I can tell you this though, the 05/06 sedan midpipe, though it uses a larger resonator than the Z/coupe, is louder, deeper, and overall much better sounding. This is because the sedan and Z/coupe use entirely different muffler designs.

Any suggestions where to go other than midas to have this done. Two places here in vegas wanted 100 dollars to take off resonator weld on straight piping.

Without the large crossflow muffler on the Z/G coupe/FX, the G sedan will not be able to replicate the deep purr that the Z/G coupe/FX produces.
You can get close with a coupe midpipe... but it is just not the same.
