MD 5/16 report and thanks
Yeah the reset is required for these mods. Also if you have a 5AT, the better grounds helps the tranny and your grounding points alot. Research it before you get it.
Don't look for any hp gains. Just look for the positive effects the kit adds to your car before you plump down the cash

Installed the basic MD 5/16" spacer today and boy am I happy. Very noticeable gains in acceleration and throttle response. Money well spent. It was really easy, took only an hour from start to finish. I have been reading about the install for a month so I felt prepared. If you don't know me know that it's a small miracle I did it, I am not mechanically inclined at all. I used the great DIY's on here for help.
For those of you that are thinking "Why did he post this crap" FO
J/K. The main reason I started this thread was to throw a big thanks out to bythabay and fishouse for their awesome DIY's and to KSU1998 for selling me the spacer. Without these guys, today wouldn't have happened. If there is anyone out there thinking about this mod, it should be one of the first performance mods you do. I would highly recommend the Motordyne spacer over the other choices. Tony at MD is a guy I trust to make great products and to stand behind what he sells. That's more important to me than price could ever be. Plus they have several options to choose from. I live in Texas so the basic spacer works fine for me.
Thanks for listening, I've gotta go drive the car some more.
Peace...

installed my mrev2 and 5/16 spacer didnt feel anything at first, until i did the ecu reset (first try) and right away the car exhaust sounded deeper and after a few minutes of driving i could feel how the car picks up from slow speeds. Crusing in 6th gear then giving a little more gas my car starts to pick up speed pretty quick as if i were to down shift to 5th.
overall great mod. I dont recommend it as a must do mod but if you want more than what you have then yes do it.

The MREV2 certainly works on the non-revup engine, but it works quite a bit differently.
Below is a comparison of Stock Vs Spacer Vs MREV2 Vs Spacer with MREV2. All of this testing was performed on a 2004 G35 Sedan with the non-revup engine.

Also see this link to an independent test on a NON-REVUP engine.

i dont really understand exactly what im looking at...should i just get the spacer..or just the mrev2..i read that if i get both i need to do fuel and ecu mods or the car will run lean. i was just planing on reseting my ecu after the mods were installed. so what would be the best. im going to install a Z tube aswell when i install the spacer or mrev2.
