I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe with the 6MT.

I've had the Motordyne XYZ pipe for a while now and the product has been fantastic. I recently dyno'd my car at the local speed shop and the numbers I put down to the tires were better than I thought.

It dyno'd 242 whp / 235 ft/lbs on a Dynojet.

The only mods were a Stillen Intake/Airbox and the XYZ pipe. I have the Motordyne plenum spacer, but I haven't installed it yet, since the car runs a little lean between 3500 - 4500 rpms.

Future mods include the Dual Shockwave, Test Pipes, Osiris tune, and 4.10 gears.

Hello Kansas City neighbor. You're numbers look about right for a 03/04 6MT with those mods. Typically a stock non-revup 6MT sees about 235whp on a Dynojet. Was this at that shop in Merriam?

This was at the shop in Merriam. It's nice to know that everything looks right. For some reason, I thought 225 whp was the norm. Oh well, at least my engine seems healthy.

How many miles do you have on your G35? What can I expect as I put more miles on the car? I currently have 46.6K miles.

Your VQ is pretty much broken in. I wouldn't expect it to see any more power simply from some extra mileage. It seems to take about 10K miles to really get these motors chugging along. You should try your luck out at KCIR one night. I've never dynoed my 5AT sedan, but it did do 14.3s@98mph with the Z tube in pretty good fall conditions at KCIR. It then did a higher 14.3 at almost 100mph with the MD spacer, but conditions were a bit worse (upper 60s vs mid 40s).

I was planning on hitting KCIR this fall. I have some semi-bald tires on now that I would rather destroy than a new set.

I checked my AFR and I am running 14.25 AFR from 3500 to 4500 rpm. If I add the 5/16" spacer will it have detrimental effects? Or am I just being a wimp about it?

I installed my 5/16" Motordyne Spacer over the weekend. I floor my car regularly, so I couldn't really tell the difference. It sounds a little more aggressive and it seems to have more mid-range, top end pull. I had a friend drive it and he mentioned a noticeable improvement.

It went well and it only took 1.5 hours to complete (with a hangover). Idle is good, no engine knock, and there are no wierd leaks that I know of.

I drove it for 50 miles and varied the engine RPM's and there were not any indications that I improperly installed the spacer.

cool, get a y-back exhaust and then the Osiris reflash and you'll be good to go.....until your endless power hunger gets so bad that only forced induction will help.

I plan on getting the Motordyne exhaust, test pipes, and an Osiris flash by the end of summer. Then I will get 4.10 gears and suspension work over the winter.

After all of that I think I will be satisfied for a while...maybe.

HAHHAHA, no you won't! I've said that same thing at least a half-dozen times now! Next for me is either an LS2 swap or TT kit....but that's going to be at least a year or so away.

Those numbers are useless/meaningless without a previous baseline. But atleast you have a reference for future mods assuming you stick to the same dyno.
