HKS Hi power question...
What is the purpose of the second canister (or chamber) above the muffler? Ive always wondered and never figured it out?

A dead chamber.

Dead chambers are hollow canisters. The purpose of them is to trap exhaust and basically bounce back the pulse to help cancel out other pulses. They are used for sound tuning.

Good because after i installed my long tube headers i got some rasp with my topspeed pro 1 exhaust, so hopefully this will fix that prob? what do you think?

Yeah it should be better as long as you don't have test pipes but from the looks of it you have HFC's from your sig? HKS has very little, if any rasp.

Im not sure. Ive had the HKS for well over a year and recently installed my FI res TP and I get plenty rasp when im at wot

why would you add these dead chambers to your exhaust? it'd be easier to chop in a resonator in your midpipe(s)
