Exclamation just installed 5/16 spacer minor issues

so i just installed the spacer and had a couple issues guys. first off when i first started the car it kept "hiccuping" and wouldnt start. so i figured air leak, so i went to osh and actually bought a torque wrench

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...orque+Wrenches

as i set it to 40 inch pounds and tightening, it got to the point where i though i was gonna snap the bolts. how do i know when to stop? how do use this torque wrench? im an obvious newb so any help would be great.

other issue i had was i snapped the post bolt for my injen intake. what the wasiest way to take it out. thanks.

That's the same torque wrench I bought to install my spacer too, lol. You just set it to the amount of torque you want, lock it there, then just turn the wrench until you hear/feel a "click" to let you know when to stop. The amount of force needed for the plenum bolts really isn't much at all, so be careful not to over-torque and break them. Good luck!

First make sure the rubber surround on the oil filler isnt stuck between the spacer and the plenum. Second, make sure the MAF is plugged in.
