spacer and intake

hey G fam. Just had a question about the motordyne 1/2 spacer and a cold air intake set up. I'm looking into getting them the same time and installing it. My question is will it make my car run too rich and will need a reflash asap? Or will I be ok with the a/f ratio. Also I will get the osiris reflash after the 2 bolt ons just wondering what am I to expect? Oh the cold air will prolly be Injen cold air or aem CAI still haven't decided.

I don't know a whole lot about the spacers, but I do know that when people put on CAIs, it can richen the fuel mix. Get the car on a dyno and you can see that they usually run a little richer with the CAI installed. Sorry I'm no a whole lot of help. Good luck.

the ECU has plenty of room for adjustment. however, it may take a bit of driving for it to fully compensate.

to maximize your modifications, ECU recalibration (tune) is needed.

yea I know I will need to tune it. But I was just wondering if it is critical with the 1/2 spacer and intake?

Not yet, those were the first two things I did right after I bought my G. Did a Stillen intake and a Bassani full catback and still no tuning. Think I'll wait a while before doing so.

I'd wait until after you get exhaust to get the Osiris tune, you're not gonna see real great gains with just a spacer and intake... Also the factory sets the A/F ratios REALLY conservatively on the safe side to minimize warranty repairs and protect dumb people from themselves so I wouldn't worry about any safety issues.

But once you open up both ends (intake and full exhaust) definitely get the tune.
