axel back vs. true dual catback

ok so i want to start off by saying im not building a racecar here.. my goal by upgrading the exhaust is to improve sound. its about $150 for just an axel back and $350 for a full cat-back, and if i get the cat back im going to get the true duel. they're both bolt-on, and since i'm just looking for sound i'm wondering what you guys think, whether it's worth the extra $200.

search *****... sorry if i missed it. i always search anyways cuz i think searching takes less effort than posting.

well if your looking for just sound then i would get an axleback. Ive never hear of a $350 true dual, what would be the point in getting a true dual for you if you just want sound. Either way $350 for a true dual is insanely low so i would get that just so i have a "full" exhaust.

that's the link to the full exhaust. i dont think the extra $200 to say i have a "full" exhaust is worth it, but if there are minimal power gains it might be. if you dont mind checking it out, tell me what you think. i appreciate the advice.

that's the link to the axel back, they both quote low end torque gains (unspecified) and HP gains between 10 and 16, so i figure they're both pretty unreliable.

haha do you like the sound of that axel back and hate the look? and remember the main question here is, is the sound/gain difference with THESE specific exhausts worth the xtra $200? (mainly the sound difference, although there's also the visually aesthetic appeal of the true dual)

there's no gain with an axleback. it's purely for looks and sounds.

there are more than enough reviews on that catback you linked. here is one: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...eview-x02.html

yea i figured the quoted gains on the axel back (10-16 hp on ebay) were BS. but how does the sound of the axel back compare to the KCR cat back?

Axelback....check out the Greddy Spectrum Elite. It has true ti tips if that's what you're looking for. O Hella OEM had one for sale cheap a month or so ago.

I almost got that exhaust since the sound is close to stock and I was running the Berk HFC, HR -Yipe and stock exhaust which sounds great btw. I hear the Greddy amplifies the stock sound even more.

If I decide to go back to the stock sound again, I may chose this route since I still have my mid and HR-Y pipe in storage

pretty sure tiguy just quoted nice sound from the greddy axelback. there's also a bunch of testimonials from people on this site claiming the catback is a good buy and has lasted them well. ill buy a civic the day you learn to read and realize im looking to improve sound and stop crying, so maybe the greddy axle back would be a good buy
