Ztube vs With Popcharger

Ztube vs With Popcharger
From what I read it wont give you any increase in performance by much since stock is pretty good. And you just get it for the Induction noise.
So whats the difference from just buying a z-tube and using the stock air box for 75 bucks vs buying a Ztube with Popcharger for 200?
Thanks

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I'll give you my experience. As previously said in other threads, I bought a pop last month to try it out. I have a ztube, 5/16th spacer, and Hr y pipe among other mods. I installed the pop and drove it for ~ 800 miles over three weeks. The temp here last week was over 100 every day, as high as 107.
The sound of the pop was great, especially over 5000 RPM's. I loved the way it looked in the engine bay, bright blue filter almost matched my LS sedan. But that's where the good ended. I lost a significant amount of power at low end acceleration, and also experienced sluggish throttle response throughout the lower to mid RPM range. It felt like the gains I got from the spacer and y pipe had been lost. Thinking it must be due to the heat and not the pop, I put the revup box back on last Saturday just to test it in the heat.
Holy **** what a difference!! Reset the ECU and immediately drove over 100 miles round trip to a meet on Saturday afternoon. I can't describe the difference with the revup box back on. My car feels stronger than ever. Throttle response and power are back and I'm happy. I sold the pop and am convinced that what I have read on here about the stock airbox being super efficient is true. I did notice a difference when I went with the revup box over my stocker a while back.
Even though people say they haven't noticed a drop in power with the pop, I will never try it again. I even thought about the Stillen intake, but I'm moving on to other mods. The stock is staying!!
