z tube= bad gad mileage

hi i have an 05 g35 coupe just installed a z-tube. now i am getting horrable gas mileage. before i was getting 17 miles to the gallon now im getting about 10 miles to the gallon. any one have any idea??

Did you touch and/or mess with your MAF sensor? Have you tried resetting your ECU?

And 17mpg seems kinda low to me. I get around 21 with a lot of hard driving.

no i didnt touch maf just undid the clampon the top of the maf . how do i reset the ecu?

car feels the same maybe a lil faster. it def sounds better with my hks catback.def did not loose power

you should not have above 10 mpg with G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!











oh...I get like 17~19 mpg...below 3k gear shift...(auto)

its the side effect that alot of ppo fail to mention. As you install the Z tube and hit your throttle to listen to that sexy induction sound, your right foot automatically became lead and reaches out to re-live that induction sound over and over.

Z-tube is not going to change your gas mileage. If anything it would increase it with more air.

Just changing the intake tube will not cause you to lose gas mileage. Most of the time, the opposite occurs. Either you messed something up when you installed it, or you love the sound a little too much.
