So my FI exhaust shipped this week and will be here friday. Yeah I can't wait. But I'm not sure how I should do the installation.

I could use 2 jacks and work my way from front to back, but that could become a safety problem and probably take longer.

or

Do you think it would be best to just go to a local muffler/exhaust shop and have them install it?

If you have came across this problem before any help would be great.

 

do it at the muffler shop because their is a modfication that needs to be done to the heat sheild you'll see when you get the instructions, that is just a pain in the *** to do it on jack stands. make friends with the jiffylube guys they have a pit.

 

I saw that you need to cut the heat shield. Do you know how much needs to be cut off?

 

I did it with 2 jackstands in an hour with just my friend and I. I used some tin snips to cut the heat shield, I actually thought that was the easiest part of the installation, just look at the picture and make sure you don't cut it wrong lol.

 

Buy 2 more jackstands for $15.
