350z mid extension pipe

so i've search and found that you need a ext. pipe to run a 350z mid.

I got a great deal on a 2008 catback that i want to run on my 05x. obviously the y pipe is my main reason for it. But now i have the middy as well. Where do i get this ext pipe at? it is the same 6 inch nismo pipe. Or something else. I've also read another person bolted it right in

i think its an 8" extension. i think the NISMO works.

You can't use the muffler without a lot of modification though, you know that right?

well yea the dual tip thing isn't going to fit.

i saw the guy who made it cutting up spare tire well and moved the evap canister. too much for me.

well i'm mainly in it for the HR pipe, but then the middy comes with it so i might try to work with it. I wonder if i can get a local to weld me up something. would this peice go where the Y and mid meet or mid to muffler.

i'll look up this nismo peice.

Sorry for the noob question, but is the Nismo extension you guys are talking about the same one you would need if you had a G35 coupe mid pipe? Thanks!

No, the Nismo extension is only needed if trying to run a Z mid pipe. Coupe mid pipe is long enough to run on the sedan without an extension.

any luck on sourcing extension? you just need one between Y-pipe and mid-pipe right? not at the end of mid pipe that connects to the muffler?

Sorry, trying to figure out how to fit 05 350z y-pipe and midpipe on RWD 05 sedan.

^^ Talking about the mid, not the Y.

OP, any muffler shop can cut/weld in an extension. Guys, is that Nismo piece the right length and diameter? For some reason I was thinking it was specifically for a coupe/350 Nismo exhaust and was wondering if that's maybe a different length/diameter?
