exhaust sounds

hey guys im new here, i just bought a 05 g35 sedan this weekend. i love the way the exhaust sounds now, but i want to put a new one in that might be a bit deeper and add a couple of horses. i just dont like the raspy sound some pipes make. do you guys have any clips of your exhaust sounds? this way i can hear the sound before buying.
thanks

HKS is bolt on, Magnaflow has to be welded on by a muffler shop (they don't make a sedan specific exhaust. Magnaflow mufflers are cheaper than the HKS rear section. You have to decide on price vs ease of installation.

I have HKS and love it, there is drone in med throttle, low rpm's. As for hp, not enough to notice. If you do cat back exhaust you would get a few hp up top, 5-10. Are you looking for alot of noise or just a little? That will make a difference on what people recommend.

If you don't mind a bit of a drone, I recommend the HKS + coupe midpipe. It sounds awesome. If you have the 05 midpipe (which u do if u r stock), then you will have even less drone. I may have an HKS for sale soon. I bought it new about 11 mos. ago, no scuffs, all original (ie no cut hangers or other surprises like on a used one I bought that the owner did not disclose, which I returned and got my money back and bought a new one) I still have the original box to ship. Owner pays shipping.

See post # 25 for some comments on the HKS...

I'll post clips of my Stillen Gen II tonight after work. It might be a little more than you're looking for but it will give more HP gains than a coupe middy and an HKS.

the HKS is hardly "race car loud". paired with your '05 midpipe it will sound great. i have no drone since i am 6MT and can modulate sound easily by adjusting my shift points (like AT's in manual mode).

the muffler is ~$400 new, much less used. i bought mine slightly used for $300 CDN.

I bought mine from here: https://g35driver.com/forums/exhaust...them-gone.html

Probably best priced shipped and great customer service.
