nope,
Basic ECU Reset
Operations Procedures:
1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” (NOT start) and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 seconds.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone. If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Remember, timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU. You may even need someone's help to do this correctly.

What year is your sedan... 05-06 sedans won't have much of a difference.. its the 03-04 that really sound better with a CP middy.. but if u keep modding your exhaust, (eg. HFCs, muffler, Y pipe) it will really help out, i noticed mine when i swapped back to stock for a day..

Your best route to better sound is probably in this order (some may argue): a higher-flow muffler such as 03/04 sedan or aftermarket like HKS, then HFCs then y-pipe. I am running the HR-Y, 05 sedan mid and HKS but recently had the Z-middy (same as coupe) and stock 03 muffler and it sounded pretty great.

Y pipe of your choice. Preferably oem 350z or 07 08 g35 sedan oem Y pipe but they're kinda hard to find. Go on ebay and type G35 y pipe or 350z y pipe and there are plenty to choose from, some more expensive than others. I bought my HR Y pipe used on ebay for 100 bucks

My setup right now is : Berk HFCs, 370z HR Ypipe, CP Middy, HKS rear muffler, and fujita intake w/ motordyne plenum spacer...
Here are some clips of my exhaust.. :
forgive me on this clip, i shifted late into 3rd.. thats why it bounced a little off the rev limiterdoh:
in a few weeks i am changing my exhaust and getting rid of the Y pipe and cp middy, just a heads up if someone wants to buy it... im getting custom straight pipes made from the HFCs to the muffler... ill post up a clip when its all done and broken in...
