ECU How much can it take?

Im new at this mod thing. I want to add some free flow cats to my Borla exhaust and popcharger. Will the ecu accomodate the changes ok? What cats would be my best choice? Is it even worth it to do??? Thanks!

The ecu will be fine. Ive heard bad things about the RT cats. Something about them breaking up inside. I put test pipes on and if I did it again would go for hi flow cats. Man my exhaust is loud now and the rasp is a killer. All in good time though.

Re: ECU How much can it take?

I second lemans. The ECU is programmed with a pretty good threshold. I have just about every mod possible from popcharger to ztube, to plenum and the whole exhaust thing (high flow cats and fujitsubo exhaust clone) minus the headers. My car is doing just fine.
