putting together an exhaust system

I want to start gettin an exhaust system together. I have made my mind up that I want either the HKS hi power or motorydyne exhaust. The question is what hfc should i get for the best sound as I dont want rasp and am fairly new to what this is and also if should get test pipes or resonated and all that stuff thanks guys

What exactly does "Best" mean?

"Best sound" is going to be completely subjective to one individual's tastes. I would check out the Exhaust FAQs and listen to the exhaust clips for a relative comparison.

I dont know why Fast Intentions has so many fans on here, but I've never heard someone that was displeased with the quality or performance of them.

I like my Kinetix. They've been great so far.

If you get test pipes get resonated to avoid rasp. Test pipes replace your cats so its either you get test pipes or HFC.

But be warned an exhaust + test pipes will be loud.

I would have went for the kinetix if it wasn't for a buddy selling me his Random Tech HFC's for cheap.

kinetix is by far the best bang for buck, and good quality as well.

Unless you need the HKS for the looks department . . . I would recommend going with a Motordyne system that would allow you to have flexibility with your HFC/test pipe setup.
As others have mentioned, going with resonated TPs will work best on the street regarding rasp, etc.
In the end, if you don't need the flexibility or you're not picky, then going with a solid set of HFCs with whatever exhaust sounds best to you will be easiest.
