He raised the top and ported the lower plenum and collector. I'm going to do a before and after in the next 2wks.

I will post my results and take pics to show the difference.

those 3" X 1/2" cuts in the back side (toward TB) of the upper is what I'm talking about... he did that to raise the top?

I guess I'd need to see the finished product - 'cause I dont get it at this point...

^I'm with you Mike, I still don't understand the modifications he made to the upper plenum. Need to see final pics of the upper plenum.

Not to be rude here guys but the intake you guys are looking at was built over 3 yrs ago. Ive made roughly 10 since then. The top is actually being milled open in the pics. I dont want to keep hijacking the op's thread so if you would like some info pm me.

got a link to info about the upper cut-outs that we are asking about?.... as for lower collector, lots of us have MREV2-esque machining... but I'm curious about the milled openings... thanks

The finished product is not diamond plated. The diamond plated one was his 1st one which is on his car.

thanks Derek... I remember that thread, but I'm still perplexed about the milled openings on the OEM upper in this thread

this is the one I did...

dyno'ed directly against the Mrev2 and made power compared to it. Not much more but still nice to know it can be bested.
