Thoughts on MD 5/16 spacer install.

This is my first post on the forum, I've been lurking on here since before I bought the car in august. The car is an 04 Desert Platinum sedan 5at. I'm not posting pics of it because there is nothing special about the car.

I installed the plenum spacer yesterday. It is my first real mod, I've got a aluminum intake tube that I got for free just for noise. This install was pretty straight forward as you probably already know, in fact other than needing to know the torque specs you almost don't need directions. I did watch the video on MD's web site. I suggest that if you are going to put a spacer on you watch this video so you know where all the vacuum hoses are.

If you are only installing the basic spacer like me there is no reason for you to remove all of the vacuum lines (unless you are taking off the factory gasket, I left mine on). There is one under the TB that is sort of hard to reach, leave it on and prop up the top of the plenum with a screw driver or something. Then you can access all of the bolt to put on the plastic spacer and the lock tight.

I found the inside of the plenum to be exceptionally clean for a car with almost 70k on it. I was expecting it to be oily and sort of sooty from some comments others have made about the inside of the plenum being dirty, however there was only a small amount of oil and no soot. I did however go ahead and wipe it down since I already had it open.

The butt dyno says there are gains and since this product has been proven I don't think my a$$ is lying to me. Thanks to B2autodesigns for getting the product to me quickly and at a good price and thanks to Motordyne for such a
quality product that works.

Crawford plenum here but yeah, it's probably the best mod for the $ and effort it takes to install. Especially if you buy it used.
