Front End Vibration at 1000-1200 rpms (exhuast?)
So I have this weird vibration coming from the front of my car. I think it's the exhaust. It only occurs when the engine rpms is between 1000 and 1200. I don't have access to a ramp or extra jack stands so I may have to take it in to get a better look. Any insight or past experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Some extra points - hopefully they narrow it down:
- it is more of a rattle then vibration
- defintely engine/drivetrain related as it occurs while stationary as well as moving.
- I can hear it best when I just start it up and shift into R. For example, if I go to start my car in the morning, it usually revs in about the +1500 rpm range for a solid 15 seconds, I let it warm up some more and shift to reverse (foot still on brake). As the rpms drop from 1500, 1400, ect the rattle will start to come as soon as the rpms hit 1200. Then as the needle continues to drop, the rattle ends at 1000 rpms.
