I'm not a fan of mounting it that way. The level indicator tube would read full when it's only 1/2 and you might as well forget about an air diversion panel for the rad if you place the can there. I'm still figuring out options for relocating the coolant overflow and to get a polished one or fab something.

Well I did the install this past weekend...I actually just did my samco hoses as well so in the process I removed the fan shroud and sanded down the piece of plastic protruding in the center to get everything level then drilled the holes to bolt the catch can in place...as for laying it sideways, I know the oil reading will read full when its only a one fourth filled but i figured I should empty it out at that point anyway just to be safe...Well I just wanted to share my setup regarding the catch can and I am still interested in what everyone else has done...as far as the hose lines I used the stock ones NRG provided and they are holding up just fine, no collapsing or sucking sounds...
LMK what everyone thinks...even if you dont like it. I wont hate just looking for opinions.

as for the diversion panel it still will fit just fine...it sits under the top of the grill...right?
it does not go over by the catch can...
(not my engine bay)

I dont prefer that location - primarily because I choose to keep the air duct (to draw coldest air), but also because you will have to uninstall in order to empty (when its vertical you can simply remove the top and siphon)...

Also, I dont like the diversion panel (for same reason as not using the intake duct/snorkel)...

but my opinions aren't whats important...if you like it that's all that matters.

Thanks for your feedback bro =) I appreciate it! LMK how yours turns out in the future

you mean with the gasket right...cause you said you had leaking issues.
Where can I get the gasket from?

the can comes with a gasket - mine still leaked... I used "Seal-All"... gas and oil resistant sealant on the outside bottom eldge...

my issues may have been from the harsh treatment when re-finishing... sand blasted, then chemically cleaned then black chrome plated... that may had affected the mating surfaces (I'm not sure)... so you might not have the same issue I had.

thanks for the comments...

but I got the snorkel painted because I didnt want to remove it (not the other way around )

I tried to balance as much looks and performance as possible... I'm not willing to sacrifice too much of one for the other...

It looks good there and you're happy with it so that's all that matters. I tackled my oil can today after getting delivery of an aftermarket coolant overflow reservoir.

All in all it took me around 4 hours of tooling around and trying different mounting possibilities before I placed things where I did. I took my time and had removed the bumper before starting,I was thinking of mounting the reservoir behind it. I picked up some T and 90* brackets on my way to where I was installing.

I pulled the oem reservoir, washer filler tube too,and found out that a 13" reservoir wasn't my best choice. It fits, angled towards the bumper, but the hose is stretched. I mounted it using the hole freed up from removing the filler tube. I put in fluid and duct taped off the opening,I'm looking at custom tubing or fabricating something myself for a new filler tube.

I went with the 13" because drag-strip rules stipulate minimum 16oz overflow reservoir. Anyone know of a shorter reservoir that meets this requirement?

Installing the catch-can was a breeze. I flattened out a 90* bracket and attached it to the can. Slid it down beside the reservoir and scribed where to bend and drill a hole. Took it off,in the vice to drill and bend, back on the can and mounted using the bolt and hole from the oem reservoir. I didn't hook it up,waiting on delivery next week on an o-ring for the pcv valve I bought yesterday...stupid that it's not supplied with the valve.

The best things I found out are that you don't have to remove the bumper or drill any holes in the body to mount these. The worst thing is finding out the reservoir doesn't fit...it does but not clean enough for my liking.

Once I get a new reservoir and that $.05 o-ring I'll post up a DIY.

ps-anyone wanna buy a reservoir? CHEAP-lol

Maybe this one would have worked better if you wanted to mount it where you did, looks like it bolts in using the holes from the air scoop.

Here is the updated hoses...and as for Blue. Bro there is no need for calling me cold. I never did anything wrong man. He can sell the hoses to whoever he wants. Like i said I just want his locks on the hose end and I am more than willing to pay top dollar for it and a set of extra hoses...Im not trying to corner the hose market bro. Make him an offer. I still have not picked up 4dr.'s hoses
