What other breather mods do you currently have installed?? I hope that headers are not your first. They make minimal gains without mods that support them and are generally a waste of money on a N/A setup.

I payed $450 at Riches Performance Muffler. That included the HFC's install.

True. Sounds great with HFC's and HKS exhaust.

I just have a RAM intake and HKS exhaust...
Do you think headers are a waste of money right now?

I never did a before and after dyno with the full exhaust. I'm guessing you'd expect about 5hp gain from headers. It won't be much though. They will definitely change the exhaust note.

Probably right now it is. From what I read, headers are a real PITA to install and the gains are minimal (maybe 5 whp). For the cost of the headers and the install, I'd say it's a waste. Plus they're not easy to take off if you get rid of the car, so you'd never get your money back on 'em.

At this point, if you're looking for sound, go with a set of test pipes or HFCs. They'll give so modest hp gains and they're easy to DIY. If you're looking for added horsepower, go with a motordyne plenum spacer. Another DIY mod that shows good gains per dollar spent.
