2005 G35 287hp, MREV2 or 5/16 spacer

I have been reading alot about MREV2 plus the 5/16 spacer. I have a jwt pop charger and a magnaflow exhaust, but i was wondering if i should ONLY install the SPACER cuz the 287 is NON REVUP, i am new to this game so bare with me, as i kept reasding this article about MREV and spacer, it said that the 287already has a MREV and that the SPACER will do, any suggestions, if this doesnt sound right my bad, thats how i read it..and then i was gonna TUNE....

mrev is a modified non-revup lower collector. so you dont really have a mrev on your car. you will definately get some gains with the mrev+spacer combo but then again youll see an increase with just the spacer as well

Best bang for the money is just to get the spacer. If you're chasing every ponies, then get MREV, but it's much more beneficial towards the revup than the non-revup.

If I just install the MD 5/16" spacer, do I need to have my engine tuned in order to get the best performence out of it? Or it's just too subtle to do so. Thanks!

Get all of you bolt-on's before you get a tune. Another good mod that will free up horsepower and torque is High Flo Cats or Test Pipes.

Now I'm confused, ibwas almost sure about what to get, but now I'm lost, which one really is better, the kinetix v+ or the 5/16 spacer?? I thought kinetx v+ was because it did the same job but was better due to better air flow plus a lot cooler temperatures

^The MD spacer is by far more popular on these boards.
Don't have any personal exp or knowledge of the kinetix cooler temps.
I haven't seen any tests that confirm that either.

I thought the 05 to 07 have the revup motor and that means that it benefits from the spacer and mrev2, unlike the 03- 04 which dont have the revup motor.

^The 05 to 07, manuals only, do have the revup. The non-revups will still benefit from the spacer.

Mine is an 05 5at sedan and its not a rev up.. or I think it isn't, mine revs to 6700rpm, does that count as a revup? Because if mine is a revup it means that I need the spacer and mrev2

^No, you have a non-revup, all of the automatics come with the non-revup engine. All you need is the spacer.
