I've had the eBay one. Sounds great. Fits like crap. Poor craftsmanship.

 

I have the Trust titanium axle back. Its very nice. It wont be easy to find though.
Really nice tone after a couple of uses.

Yeah I picked up two of three that were available from Jtran studios in Houston. Very nice quality, OEM fitment. 1/5 the weight of OEM weight.

I figured i would post a question in this thread instead of starting anew.

I recently purchased an 03 with 75k miles on it. I test drove one 03 couple before settling on the final purchase but i don't remember what the tone of the exhaust on the first one sounded like.

The exhaust sounds overly loud for something stock and I had one shop owner tell me it 'could be rusted baffles'. I don't have a sound clip but the car even sounds loud at idle. What is an easy way to diagnose the muffler?

Also - the post above mentions poor fit on the ebay axle back system. Can i still get it on there without any welding and/or bending?

 

Yes, you can. The tips just won't be centered - at least that's how mine was and that's how they are pictured on eBay.

 

Thanks for the info. I picked up an ebay axle back and it fit perfectly. The sound wasn't as deep/loud as i expected but being in a neighborhood with very little space between houses i kind of need something of a lower profile.

did the elite replace the SP? Also the elite doesnt come with a mid pipe?
