I gained and felt the most difference when I got my spacer, exhaust, tune, and ART pipes. Each one of those mods made the car perform a lot better.

but it doesn't end there... however, most things aren't going to amount to much on their own - you would need a free flowing exhaust to take advantage of several mods and imo there are more advantageous intake option (including upper and lower collector)... as well as tune... I have several other tweaks that have worked very well... and I have no problem knowing that it out performs the same car with just lower collector and spacer.

Your post implied that aside from a modified lower collector and plenum spacer nothing else besides FI will add power. That's simply not accurate.
I was answering his question. He said he didn't want to break his wallet, and his only mods were JWT PC and Z-Tube. Given that price range, I wasn't going to refer him to some $670 ART pipes and then another $500-$600 Uprev tune. Of course the more breather mods you add the better they work in conjunction with one another, but that wasn't what he was asking.

OP you need to define your budget... "kill my wallet" to one person may not mean the same thing as is does to another...

+1. However, had he posted this like 3-4 years ago it would mean something different from today.

He stated he HAS the popcharger. OP,if your car is pre-'05 then you have a non-revup engine. The MREV is worthless on a non-revup,horrible advise on getting one when not knowing ANYTHING about the car.

A y-pipe off a 350Z revup will give some good gains and they're cheap if you can find a used one. On that note, you can find alot of quality used parts cheap. Look on Craigslist,Ebay and other such sites.

A timing advance is cheap though you have to run higher octane gas than 91 for this to be effective.

As mentioned,it's hard to get decent n/a whp without $$$ and once you start modding it doesn't stop, you'll ALWAYS be looking for a new power mod when the latest one loses it's initial excitement.

Whatever you decide, good luck and have fun.

Geez people, I brought up the MREV2 because it makes good power (yes on a rev-up) and since we don't know what engine he has, I covered my bases by listing it since it IS one of the best mods you can buy. I wouldn't expect somebody to drop money on something sight unseen based off the advice of a stranger, without doing any research. However there is so much talk about the 5/16 spacer that for somebody who obviously doesn't know, may have easily missed the MREV2. So I thought it was worthwhile to bring it up.

What is it with people nitpicking my post. Maybe their feelings are hurt about how this car doesn't make significant power NA? Who knows.

actually mrev does produce hp on a nonrevup. tony posted dynos of it. Its just the extra hp in a mrev + spacer vs just spacer comes out to 2-3hp more and at the price just isnt worth it. If you get a tune it might squeeze out more but still only if you're desperate for every little hp on a nonrevup.

It would have been easier for the OP if you had mentioned the mrev is best on the rev-up in the first place. I'd find it a pita doing research on a part someone mentioned only to find out it won't do much good other than making my wallet shrink.

Why not mention the 1/2" or 3/8"? They're both viable options to the 5/16".

I was looking for the dyno graphs but couldn't find the link. Anyone?

That's why I mentioned the mrev is worthless on a non-revup.

I, too, remember reading about very minimal gains when using the mrev on a non-revup. That was a long time ago though. Tony's personally told me the same thing as well.
