any 350z exhaust will fit the coupe. just make sure you purchase the two 6 inch extension pipes.
Available off of mynismo.com

i believe he is looking to put an oem z exhaust on. in which case he will only need on extension. however, even then the tips will fall short a couple inches and be tucked.

better off getting an oem g exhaust. they're all over the marketplace.

i think the extension is for the nismo exhaust. an exhaust shop should be able to make some extensions though

My friend is looking to do this on his G35 (install a stock 350Z exhaust) but I'm wondering... are the hangers for the 350Z exhaust in the same location on the G35? Assuming that he buys the 6" extension pipe from mynismo.com he can simply bolt on the extension, bolt up the 350Z exhaust and connect the hangers, and he's good to go (not including having to extend the exhaust tips)?

Mganaflow X pipe makes that system sound pretty good, prior to instaling it my replica was loud, droney, and very ricey. You'll miss the power loss if you go back to stock.

He's not really looking for a power increase. What happened was someone gave him their stock 350Z exhaust for free because they installed a Stillen exhaust and didn't need the stock one anymore.

That being said, he's trying to figure out what he has to do to get the exhaust to fit. If he doesn't like the sound then he can always take it off, but he's curious to see what it'll sound like. Maybe down the road he'll add an x-pipe but for now its just the rear section.
