Fuji Exhaust

I just got my Fuji y-pipe and exhaust installed. Well I can't say I was amazed with the look of the exhaust, however I sure like the sound of it from inside and outside. The sound is deeper than stock and on low rpm it feels like its growling. As rpm gets over about 4000 it gets louder than stock, I think. Overall I am statisfied with it but if I was designer of Fuji, I would definetly change the look of the tips to look better. ^^

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I totally agree, but I must admit that I'm getting used to them.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I've had mine on for a couple of months and the tips start to grow on you. If you really don't like the tips, you can always have the muffler shop cut your old ones and swap them.

I don't know too much about the other exhausts, but I definitely feel that the Fujitsubo is one of the best performing systems.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

Can you guys maybe post a sound clip of the car revving and maybe under driving conditions? I had my mind set on this exhaust and then I heard the full system on AxionF117's ride and it didn't sound good at all (it was quieter than stock if you could believe it). i dunno if that was an anomaly or if it's supposed to sound like that.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I think that mine is just slightly louder than stock when you are running wide open, there is little volume difference at idle, but that's why I got it. I am not a fan of loud exhausts.

It is definitely deeper.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

so it definitely louder than stock, not by much though. i have high flow cats so it'll probably be even a little louder. did you feel a power increase?

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I thought that it felt much faster after I got it on. It seemed to rev faster at idle and while driving which is to say that I got up to redline before I was expecting to. BUT! I am a firm believer in the placebo affect so only take these impressions for what they are worth.

I have been debating getting the cats. I think that the exhaust would probably sound great with the since the cats should add more volume. I probably wouldn't even think about the cats if I would have gotten one of the louder exhausts.

Overall I am still very happy with the exhaust.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I definitely noticed a difference after I reset the ECU. The exceleration is more responsive and when I'm at high speeds it flys. I barely touch the accelarator and it takes off. I would recommend the Fuji system if you are looking to do an exhaust mod.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

same for me~~ I definetly felt my car being faster then before. With the slight touch on the pedal it tries to launch itself. I almost got an accident for just slightly touching the pedal....

Re: Fuji Exhaust

excellent. so maybe the exhuast i heard was a fluke.

so far i'm only invested about $500 in airflow mods (z-tube, popcharger, kinetix cats) and i feel an improvement. in the spring will be exhaust and a plenum (maybe APS will finally be released by then)

did anybody just do the Y-pipe and add the rest later? $1200 for the full system is tough to swallow all at once.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

so far all i have is the fuji y-pipe, but im still looking around for an end piece, fujitsubo looks nice, so does the rsr, (yea, 2 different catagories) one loud one nearly stock sound. but the rsr says a 10 hp gain. thats not too shabby.

Re: Fuji Exhaust

I think it was like $1200 for the coupe for the whole thing.
