Do a search and you'll find tons of info. Basically, you'll get no gains from an intake. If it isn't properly shielded from the heat in the engine bay, you will lose power. Nothing does a better job at this than the oem box. So basically you are sacrificing a few hp for better sound.

The plenum spacer is the best bang for the buck. It won't won't make you noticably faster, but is a proven mod for the most hp per dollar. Not enough to make you any faster, but a nice mod nonetheless.

Intakes are nothing but for sound. I was going to get the JWT pop charger but i heard the stock revup box is better because it doesn't have heat soak.

That looks like Pop charger with Z tube to me. I just ordered a 350Z tube from Cobb Tuning.

I would personally go with the Stillen unit, if not then the R2C.

I don't remember if I posted ITT, but the worst option is probably the CAI.

Stillen > JWT > Any CAI

I prefer for stock unit + the 06 back, but if I had to get an intake it would be the Stillen.

I've had the following setups over the years:

1) Z-tube only. Margain induction noise change.
2) Z-tube with Powerduct cover removed. Pretty significant change in induction sound. Throttle response in the low rpms was reduced and lowend felt a little boggy in warm weather because the airbox no longer get pressurized at speed and the lack of the duct allowed the intake to ingest hot underhood air.
3) Z-tube with Revup airbox (powerduct back on). Slightly reduced induction noise compared to not having the Powerduct in place. More throttle response, "feels" smoother in the upper rpms.
4) G-tube with Revup airbox. No real change in induction noise. Improved throttle response.
5) G-tube with lower resonators cut off, Revup airbox, Powerduct opening slightly enlarged by about 15% (current setup). Damn, this thing sounds real good. It's almost a deep sounding as removing the Powerduct, but with none of the lagginess. The G-tube with the resonators removed feels and sounds way better than the Z-tube. The motor sounds great anywhere above 3000rpms. Absolutely love this setup and appears completely stock on the outside.

^ interesting with the g tube results

intake is only for sound and heat soak lol and can someone explain to me the benefits of the stillen box? looks and operates jus like the oem box except u can put a cone filter in

and i dont get the whole pressurized theory. if that was the case wouldnt infiniti have jus sealed the air box? also any guesses as to why the power duct thing is removable?
