Some people say after 2k miles, the drone will gone(or maybe they just get used to. lol). Or a tune will help. Of course I am talking about the FI carbon fiber. With HKS, there is no drone.

I ahve had mine on for over a year and the drone is always going to be there around 2k-3k but I just got used to it. Inside the car it sounds louder but outside the car sound awesome as people give me thumbs up all the time.

Hmmm . . . my FI has never droned. Actually my HKS and my FI never droned. I also had GReddy Evo TT for like about 3 months before I switched to FI. Now THAT is what you call drone. It was so horribly loud that Sam @ GTM said he got a headache tuning my G. But I have had FI for a couple of years now and never had any drone.

Hector there maybe reasons why mine drones....I have no cats and I am turboed which compared to when I had cats and when I was Vorteched I had no drone also....but for N/A which is what this OP has I think he would be fine with either.

Good point, no cats and TT'd would definitely be a reason for some drone. But for the the NA guys, I really don't see any reason why they would have drone. Quite a few guys here in SoCal run FI exhaust with test pipes and have no drone. Actually, I love my FI exhaust because it has the same tone as stock just a little bit deeper.

I loved my HKS. It wasn't too loud for me. If I was NA, I would still have HKS on my G. It has such an exotic sound. But when I went SC'd, I went with the FI exhaust cuz the piping is a little bit bigger.

I don't really notice a drone in my HKS. I usually have my music up to a volume of 15 on the stock deck and I can barely hear the exhaust if i'm cruising on the freeway. If you're going up hill it does get a bit annoying but here in SD we barely have any hills to climb.
