Art Pipes or Uprev Osiris?

Okay I understand I risk getting flamed for this thread, but that's okay.

My budget is 700-800, I'm wondering if I should go with the Osiris standard/tuner setup or get high flow cats/ART pipes.

I currently have, engine wise.

Stillen Airbox
MREV2 knock off
5/16 spacer
HR Y-Pipe
350z Mid-Pipe

Every since these things were installed, it seemed like my gas was burning faster, so I want to address that because I believe it's running too rich.

Would it make more sense at this point to get Osiris before high flow cats? It'll net around the same power, or more, and my sound will remain the same.... seems like the safe bet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially from those who were faced with the same issue.

if you plan on getting HFCs or test pipes, get those first. You don't want to pay for a tune twice

I haven't done either (HFCs or Osiris) but plan to do both in the future. From what I've read its a good idea to get all of your bolt-ons first then get tuned.

EDIT: ^What they said.

If anything, you might be running lean but the only thing you added to make a big affect on the a/f is the 5/16" spacer.

The thing is after the pipes, that would probably put you over the edge for running lean.

So you can't really have one/other. You'll probably need a tune after the pipes. If you are looking for the ORDER in which to get these then, get the pipes 1st and tune 2nd. Visit UrRev's site. A reflash is ALOT cheaper than you think now.

I didn't plan on taking it to a tuner, I was just going to run a bolt-on map to smooth things out for the time being.

If ART pipes are still a better option I'll go with those.

I appreciate the feedback!

The generic mail in reflashes are the cheapest available. $300 or so. Damn good deal for an Osris product.

Do all your mods first then get a tune, will benefit more down the road.

^+1

Save up a little more and get the ART pipes first, then the Osiris tune shortly after because you will most likely be running lean.

Even I was running a bit lean after I changed out my F.I. HFC's to my ART pipes, and my car was already tuned!. So I got my Osiris re-tuned afterwards and squeezed out even more power from the ART pipes.

And when you do get your tune, don't expect to be saving more on gas, because you'll be too busy enjoying that extra power .
