Need to know what gasket to use for muffler-midpipe
Hey I just bought the nismo exhaust I have a leak at the muffler/midpipe connection. I tried using a regular gasket and some sealant, but still have the leak. what should I be using? seems to be a 3 inch diameter pipe??
Thanks,

I found a 2-Bolt Exhaust Flange Gasket for a 3” application that might work for you. You might need to modify it to make it fit.
The link is below for 3" SCE:

This link is for a 2.5" from Walker:

FelPRO 2.5":

This one is from SCE on a 2.5":

The OEM 2.5" rear muffler gasket is below:

See if these work. The Walker gasket seems more promising. It has a collapsing ring and the micro fibers to help seal the exhaust leak. Besides its a direct OEM replacement.

Gasket sealant will not work.
You must use a gasket that fits without needing to modify it.
If you have an aftermarket Y-Pipe to Mid-Pipe you will need a 3 inch 2 bolt gasket.
The problem with the 2 bolt gasket is sealing.
Since it's such a big flange it tends to not seal properly (it really needs to be torqued down)
If you get crush time gasket you need to apply enough pressure to crush the gasket shut in order to make it seal.

Just for future reference, the correct OEM Part Number for the "Ring Gasket" is 20691-0P600. I believe it's $12.75 and should be readily available at any Inifiniti dealership. Just a metal ring crush gasket in between the midpipe and the muffler.
