Smoothing the interior of the plenum, LOOKING FOR A PREVIOUS THREAD ABOUT THIS!

Hey guys,

I am looking for some info on smoothing the inside of the stock plenum. I know there was a user on here who did something similar, and gained 7whp. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am interested if it will be a low cost mod.

I have an 03 DE with a 1/2" motordyne basic. Will increasing the internal plenum area lose power and mess up my a/f's, or will some minor "porting" make gains? I wish I could find the old thread.

Thanks for the help!

Don't go too smooth because that's deterimental to air flow too.

What should I use to rough it up if I go too smooth? 60 grit, 80 grit?
