Stillen Air Box Mod

I was bored today and decided to do something with my stillen airbox. I got this idea from the guy that did this with the stock airbox, but my opening is 3in.

The only thing needed is a dremel to widen the hole and intake tubing. The one I have is from spectre performance and it cost around $20. I got it from a local auto parts store.

The tube goes in the same spot as the resonator under the stock airbox just remove it. This can work also if you have a pop charger no modding needed you just need the intake tube.

I don't know if it gives power or not, but it couldn't hurt to get air from another source should definately help when it gets cooler out.

I have the other end behind the front grill.

Tell me what you guys think. I wish I could do this with my 06 airbox.

Where did you put the tube at? in the fender/bumper I have thought about doing it too but wasn't sure where I would hook the end of the tube at. I cut out a plastic piece behind the driver side lower grill so air can get to my popcharger but the tube would make it better for sure.

I have 2 tubes for it to reach behind my front grill. 1 tube can easily go behind the fender opening. I thought about doing that, but decided to try it behind the front grill until it gets cooler out.

The only problem with my location is it has 2 bends instead on 1 slight bend if placed behind the fender/bumper opening.

I've read that the ingested air will be hotter than ambient closer to the ground.

Creative. So is it secured below behind the grill? Or do you have it dangling down there?

I do have a rev-up box with a drop in filter. I wish I could do this with my rev-up box, but there too much material to cut way. I'll take some pics in a minute.
