ART pipes or Mrev 2
ART pipes or Mrev 2
right now im trying to decide which would be a better way to go for right now, either get just a spacer and the ART pipes or get a spacer, Mrev 2 lower plenum and just test pipes. i really want it all, but right now i cant afford it all. which do you guys think would be the better way to go?
what year are you?
with a rev up get the spacer mrev2 and the art pipes
if you have no rev up get the spacer and the art pipes
if you can only afford one thing, personally i'd get the art pipes first because the stock cats are pretty restricting

Since you have an 04 the MREV2 will do very little in terms of performance so it's not worth the $$. They make the most power when paired with a spacer on the revup motors (05 and up 6MT) That leaves the combination of the spacer and ART pipes for you and these will produce decent gains. The stock exhaust will be noticeably louder!

For the rev up, the spacer isnt worth it?
Nope, it's a pretty common misconception around here.
Rev-Up: majority of gains from MREV2, spacer provides gains above ~5.5k RPM only.
Non Rev-Up: majority of gains from plenum spacer, MREV2 provides negligible gains and is generally considered not cost effective

Thanks for clarifying that for me Cat!
