Using MotorDyne's rolled burnt-titanium tips on x02 exhaust

I have the M2 Performance MCR exhaust(X02 clone, yes I know )

My exhaust has 2.5" piping.
The MotorDyne exhaust tips have a 3.0" inlet.

I have been researching pipe Adapter/pipe transitions/reducers to try and find the proper piece to allow my exhaust to accept these tips.

Am I correct in thinking that I need my adapter to have a 2.5" ID and a 3.0" OD?

Will this badboy get me there?
Will I need to have this piece welded in?

Are there better options out there for what I am trying to accomplish, and are there any options that don't require welding?

Thanks ahead of time for any help you can offer.

I have these tips welded on my 2.5 piping exhaust as well and they are welded in place. I had a shop do it and wanted them to use a reducer but they informed me "they would take care of it..." well instead they just angled the tips upward and welded the tips on filling in the gaps. Didn't like it at first but now the look as grown on me and everyone seems to compliment how the tips point slightly upward anyways lol ill try and get some pics for you later

Thanks for the replys guys.

@ CreativeDesignZ :
Do those tips just slide over my fake tips?

Also, I love how the MD tips don't have any holes in them. But at that price, I am defiantly going to weld those bishes on if I buy them.

This is a bad thing if you ever decide to put a silencer on...

yup they slide right over. I cant justify spending 200 on tips plus welding them on, to a 400 dollar exhaust. at least the apexi's u can find for 130 shipped

I hear you there.

Another dumb question: What the heck is a silencer?

Lol a silencer goes into the muffler of your car to quiet the exhaust down a bit
