RE: Motordyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer Troubleshooting Assistance

Update to my plenum spacer saga:
I contacted the folks at g35parts.com (dba Infiniti of Scottsdale) and expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with the items I received in the mail. After being put on hold for more than 15 minutes, I was finally able to talk to a live body about my online order.
When I explained the issue to representative of my plenum spacer install gone awry, he proceeded to lecture me about why I had gone ahead and installed the spacer in the first place. Remember that I had talked to one of these knowledgeable reps prior to placing my order online and confirmed that I would be getting a Motordyne 5/16 spacer.
He then went on to tell me that the warehouse had shipped the wrong spacer to me. Was this an honest mistake or did they really try to pull a fast one by swapping the higher value Motordyne spacer with one of their OEM ones?
Needless to say, I have learned my lesson. The silver lining if any is that they will be sending me a new genuine Motordyne spacer (the one that I had original ordered from them) shortly.
I want to thank all the fellows who chimed in on this thread and kudos for Tony at Motordyne for standing behind his product and reputation.

The picture is clearly lifted from Motordyne's website. Even some of the text is lifted from the MD site.

This stealth modification adds 11HP-13HP and is the simplest to install. The engine cover easily fits and never needs to be cut. With the engine cover in place the engine bay looks completely stock.

All Motordyne melt proof plenum spacers come with pre-attached, high quality gaskets.

FWIW, I bought the spacer listed in the above link on Monday, August 16.
The product picture and description clearly resemble that of a Motordyne 5/16" basic spacer, but the spacer is advertised as an "Infiniti G35 5/16" Plenum Spacer," with no mentioning of Motordyne. So I really wasn't sure what to expect...a MD spacer or a generic spacer?
This is what I received today.
^^^Scotssdale Infiniti, a.k.a. g35parts.com, a.k.a. everything35.com
Upon opening the box, this is what you see.
^^^that manual looks strangely familiar. Oh yah, it's also lifted directly from the Motordyne website, except the left out the first page of the original MD manual, which has the MD logo on it. See the MD manual for yourself here: http://www.motordyneengineering.com/manual.pdf
^^^also, notice that this spacer is the same one Marco received - not a Motordyne spacer. It has two thick seams, a different finish (compared to the authentic MD spacer), and does not come with applied gaskets (or gaskets at all).
Motordyne (or what appears to be MD) hardware.

I know I'm a little late but... I have had my completely stock 05 g35 coup 5AT for a month not and am already itching to upgrade the performance. I was just doing research on a 5/16 plenum spacer and came across this thread and I've got to say, what Tony from Motordyne did was awesome. Goes to show that he really cares about his customers and his reputation! That was a stand up thing to do and I commend you sir. Needless to say, I will be purchasing every product through Motordyne no questions asked. Plenum spacer and ART TP are first up... I absolutely cannot wait to purchase such high quality products from an even better company. Thanks Toni
