DYNO: HKS Hi-Power w/Berk HFC's vs Motordyne Shockwave w/ART

Look at those tq gains! Can't wait to get this set-up!

Took a picture of the chart at the meet yesterday. Never saw it posted here though.

The red line on the top is a retune of the cams on the ART pipes and Motordyne exhaust.

This plot is indicating 2 things.

1) The ART pipes and Motordyne exhaust makes gains over the HKS and Berk exhaust configuration.

2) When the cams are retuned to the ART pipes, even more gains can be made. And the gains are quite substantial.

Hopefully I receive the same gains with ART pipes and MD exhaust and retune. I'm exited!

Here's my chart on the same dyno, different day though.

the comparison is invalid. try "art" test pipes vs regular test pipes instead

you can't compare apples to oranges.

^ +1

Berks will produce some backpressure thus restricting some of the flow.

I would still like a HKS + Arts pipe vs Shockwave + Arts pipe comparison since these are some of the more popular / expensive choices in exhaust.

and when i think of them i think of HKS = sound / looks and Shockwave = performance.

Is it at all advisable to just do the MD TDX2 without getting the ART tests from MD?

Or should you just bite the bullet and the TDX2 (roughly $1500-1600) setup and then get the ART's as well (total on that is in excess of $2k so thats why I'm asking).

You can really get whatever you want.
Its just the Arts pipe provide the most proven gains.

you can definitely get it without the ART pipes, but you won't get as much gains as the stock cats are quite restrictive.

Uhh so in conclusion test pipes provide more gains than high flow cats? My mind is totally blown right now at this revelation.

^really? HFC still have restriction. Test Pipes... well are just free flowing tubes with nothing stopping the fumes from exiting.

I was being facetious, this comparison is entirely useless because it's comparing apples to oranges.
