Hi Everyone,

I bought a mid-pipe and y-pipe combo off of another member and have already installed the mid-pipe. He said they came off of a newer 350z. I was reading another thread about 04 G35X's already having a different y-pipe than the non-X cars. Can you all help me identify this pipe and tell me if it will actually be good or bad to install on my 04X? It looks like the inlets and outlets are really large diameter, I can try to measure at home tonight.


Also, does anyone know the exact nut size I need to use? I need to replace one of the nuts on my current y-pipe.

 

This is a stock DE pipe, same as the one you have. This is not the HR Y-pipe with the larger runners and diameter.

 

Hmm did the mid pipe fit w/o no modifications? It should be too short?

But I'm pretty sure that Y won't clear your transfer case. I don't think that Y is particulary desirable. Your AWD Y looks more like the desirable HR Y pipe anyway

 

The mid-pipe needed a 6" extension.

Then it came off a 350Z, just not an HR (07/08).
