Enhancing OEM Exhaust system

hello fellow g units........

got a another n00b question. I am looking to either get a new exhaust or somehow tune and upgrade? or make improvements on the oem exhaust. I have been looking at x02, megan m2, sp2s, etc etc etc. But I have a feeling I'm not gonna be impressed, because the stock sound (to me) is sweeet! I just wish it was louder.

any way to enhance it? like make it louder in lower rpms? im going for sound.
again i dont know much about exhaust systems, so help a fellow brother out.

Try the search that would yield more info. Intake and plenum spacer should make it a little louder.

If you just want to enhance the stock sound, throw on some high flow cats.

I really like the stock sound. If you have not done so already, the first thing you should do is get a Z tube and go from there. It made my car much louder but nice.. I don't think I would go much louder than a Z tube. It's cheap and takes 6minutes to put on.

A z-tube will enhance the induction sound from the intake, but it won't do much for the exhaust.

I had HFCs with my stock exhaust a few years back. Loved the combo. FWIW, I had Fast Intentions metallic 300 cell HFCs.

Dude im like the same as you.
I want to enhance my VQ sound to make it louder and dont want to change the sound by getting after market exhaust(HKS,x02 etc)

Calvin has some good tips i might be getting HFC to enhance my VQ sound.

But will ALL HFC(Berk,Stillen etc etc.) sound the same? I mean like which brand will make the stock sound louder?

I also like the Test pipes because of the Rasp and popping noises but too bad it wont raise up my Stock sound

^^^If you don't want to change the exhaust tone, HFCs are the way to go IMO.

Not all will sound the same - similar, but not the same. Depends on the types of cones they use. Fast Intentions uses 300 cell metallic cats (more free flowing, a little louder than their previous 400 cell ceramic cats).
