I have this HR Y-pipe on my car right now and I was wondering.

Looks slightly bumped, this will happen on speed bumps even, as long as it doesn't leak your fine.

Mine is way worse and doesn't leak.

If it worries you, get some exhaust cement and heat wrap. Cement, then wrap while it's wet.

If it is not mounted,


Pressure test it to a few PSI


If it is mounted you will hear lots of noise coming from that area.

That's the flex section.

I had my exhaust mounted on my g35 for while. My drop caused my exhaust to scrape on nearly every bump. I was driving around with the ruined flex section for probably over a year. Mine was much worse. No noises. No problems. As long as the solid inner coil isn't punctured, you're absolutely fine. Below is a picture of mine, I sold it to Matt like that and I believe it ran fine. My friend bought it from him and it's still fine. No leaking or anything like that.



Best thing you can do is to avoid bumps from now on. I actually finally stopped going over bumps after my friend saw my exhaust create a tiny spark when he was following behind me after my car leveled out from ascending a hill.
