Berk HFC installed.. DAMN!
Berk HFC installed.. DAMN!
UPDATE SOUND CLIP
So I just installed the Berk Metallic HFC on my 2006 5at coupe. My current engine mods are a K&N drop in filter, z-tube, 5/16th copper spacer, full Nismo catback exhaust, and now the Berk HFC.
First off I have to say... daaaammmn. I finished the install lowered the car from the lift and went for a test drive. Didnt reset the ECU or anything, just went to test. I got on a main road and just floored it WOT. Damn did the car scream! It couldnt even keep traction on the road in first from a roll. In dry weather too! Usually the car wouldnt slip in dry weather from a roll in 1st.The power was VERY VERY noticeable right off the bat! The RPM just climbed a lot faster than usual and it was smoother. I instantly got up to 3rd gear which usually tops off at 95-100. I was thinking about getting a tune after these but damn I dont think I even need one now with the power got. I am satisfied but Im sure I could squeeze more out with a tune. Maybe in the near future. Now with the sound.. the HFC definitely changed the tone of my Nismo CBE. Its a lot louder and has more of a grow rumble at start. Reving I couldnt tell so much but apparently my cousin told me it was definitely louder. From 1k to about 3k the sound of the Nismo sounds normal but after that 3k to redline the sound changed and was more amplified to a louder note! There is a lil bit of rasp but supposedly it would go away after it was broken in =\ Sound is definitely louder and BTW videos do not do justice. I repeat does not do justice.
Now I usually have these tiny races with my cousins stock 2005 350Z 5at. Before I had the Berks installed I usually would gain a lil and slowly crept on him but not even much. He did a muffler delete and kept spanking me once we were in 3rd gear for some reason. I heard it shifts the power band with a muffler delete. So today he came by to check it out and we decided to do a run.. his car did not stand a chance! My car was gaining really noticeably and kept going in 3rd. I was really amazed with these HFC and how much of a difference it made. I would say I felt more power with this than with the spacer =\ I installed the spacer but couldnt really feel it much. I only felt it pull harder in the mid range RPMs. With the Berks it just climbs faster and smoother. Best bang for the buck mod guys!
Okay I know the vids are not the best quality but I think it should give you a lil idea of how it should sound. *Note- the first vid was shot way back when I got the tips extended and I was using I believe a canon digital camera. The rest of the vids were with my 4G iPhone.. enjoy guys!

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?!?! IMO i think it made the car sound more aggressive. There is a lot more POP to it now and I really notice that when REVING, the RPMs rise up way faster. Talk about free flow!

Install didn't take long. I did it before for my dads friend with an fx35. So this time was my second. Install took roughly an hour and 30 only bc I had customers come and interupt me. I work as a state inspector at my dads auto shop. If there no interruptions, I'd say install would of been an hour.
My cousin was really sold on the run we did. He was so shocked at how much of a difference it made. My car just leaped forward from a roll and just started gaining. I believe near redline of 3rd gear I was a car length ahead of him. Get them, I'm sure you will not regret it.
How did you remove the bolts... it's such a pain in the ***...LOL.
Any tips or ideas for installing it while the car is on jack stands? I had to stop, I gave up..lol. I dont have a torch nor a impact gun.

Glad to see it all worked out and you got everything straight man.
One of the best mods i did opened the exhaust up and adds a note to the exhaust.
@good try a steel pipe around the end of your socket...it will add torque without bouncing the car and a little pb blaster or wd-40 to break up the rust.

^^ just need a 25 inch extension w/ swivel..14mm deep socket and a little brut force...I wouldnt use an impact - if you strip that bad boy - imagine having to get it out by having to cut it..
What about the sensors?
