Kinetix V+ Plenum....Worth it?
Kinetix V+ Plenum....Worth it?
I have my engine apart to do valve cove gaskets. Thinking of getting the Kinetix V+ Plenum. Is it worth it and should I get a spacer with it or instead of it?
Thanks
Thanks
since you are turbo get a spacer to use with your stock plenum.

I have the Kinetix plenum on my G. I'm n/a for right now, and had a 1/2" spacer before i got the plenum. Even before a tune I noticed a difference between the spacer and the plenum. It flows quit nicely. I'd get it.
the V+ plenum is the composite one, shaped like the OEM w/a spacer built in. which is good for NA due to heat soak fighting characteristics but not good for FI because it can hold boost pressure. the kinetix plenum you want is the velocity manifold, replaced the SSV and is well suited for FI applications>>> http://www.kinetixracing.com/kinetix..._manifold.aspx

Come to think of it you should be good. I think the V+ is good up to 12-14 psi because it's stronger than the older ones the older ones would flex under vacuum and boost. I have the V+ now and love it just make sure not to over torque the bolts because it can crack. Post a vid after your install.
