Nismo Muffler Water Damaged!

I have had my nismo exhaust on my G coupe for a few months now, and I think that water has entered the muffler and rusted the internals. The muffler rattles at idle, and alot more when I drop the revs below 2000rpm.

Anyone have an idea of what I can do to salvage my muffler?

thats weird, i would think that water inside would dry up pretty quickly, especially b/c of the air flow and the heat before it would do permanent damage like that. keep us updated!

Not too sure how else to explain it, or to fix it!

Sucks to have this annoying rattle. My mechanic said I should get a hold of the
Manufacturer and go through them.

i doubt its water damage as well. prob a heatshield, possibly a broken weld inside the chamber? have you checked the tips and all visible outer welds?

Yes I drive it every day.

When I bang my fist against the muffler I can hear a rattle. When it's idling, I can hear it and when I put pressure on the tips it almost goes away.

Maybe it's a bad weld? Rattling would drive me nutsss. even my sunglasses in my holder rattle and it makes me stop, put a lens cleaning cloth around the glasses, and then continue driving.

On one of my previous ridez my muffler was rattling and when I took it to the muffler shop they told me that one of the baffles inside the muffler came loose due to bad welding. Muffler was replaced under warranty
